Sustainability
Sustainability is our collective responsibility.
At Firebirds, we are committed to conscious business practices. We constantly evaluate our business from all angles with a fresh perspective, always striving to do the right thing and make ethical choices. This sense of responsibility extends to how we treat our team members, our guests, our communities, investors, partners, and the environment.
Our commitment is evident in both big and small actions – from using rechargeable candles and recyclable wooden picks instead of plastic to sourcing sustainable harvested wood for our wood-fired grill. We also help reduce particulate levels by ensuring this wood has been thoroughly dried prior to use. And get this: Even our carpeting reflects this approach, as much of it is partially made from repurposed materials – so the next time you visit Firebirds, you may just be walking on a recycled commercial fishing net.
We’re also continuing to raise the bar with respect to the quality of the food and beverages we serve. Many of our wines are organic or biodynamic, produced with an ethical and ecological approach to agriculture that treats the vineyard as a complete ecosystem.
We proudly serve only sustainably raised salmon – Our most popular wood-grilled protein! The vast majority of the eggs we use are cage-free, meaning the hens have the opportunity to freely roam.
For our fryers, we use 100% U.S. grown soybean oil, which not only benefits our environment but also supports American farmers. We recycle our fryer oil and, where possible, reuse or recycle the drippings from cooked chicken and ribs, reducing kitchen waste and environmental impact.
We’re continuously learning and striving to improve for the sake of our people and our planet. Check this page regularly for updates on our progress!
